In January, Kodak Black was arrested after Broward Sheriff deputies raided the rapper’s Florida home and found marijuana and a weapon, which resulted in two clear violations of his probation, and leads to him cupping a one-year sentence. On good behavior, his legal team is hoping he’ll be out by the fall.
Well, Kodak has be putting efforts making major changes in his life including getting his GED. However, it looks like he’s making some other huge changes.
According to TMZ Kodak Black is wiping the slate clean by legally dumping his name and flipping his initials to Bill K. Kapri. Kodak’s birth name is Dieuson Octave. The rapper has successfully requested a name change from Florida judge. his attorney Bradford Cohen said his client wanted a “fresh start” in the middle of everything going on with him now.
However, his rap name won’t change and he’ll be going by Kodak Black upon his release from jail. Also, Kodak has been taking parental classes while in jail, so his clearly trying to change things around.
