Fat Joe spoke about warning Tekashi 6ix9ine about getting busted by the feds. Joe interviewed the Brooklyn rapper earlier this year on his “Coca Vision” podcast and told him he’d end up like Bobby Shmurda, who got seven years in prison after being arrested by the NYPD.
“I was just trying to school him,” said Joe about Tekashi. ‘Cause I been through that. I had the heat on me. I was wildin’ in the streets. So I tried to tell him as a young kid. It’s my job, because none of the OGs when I came into the rap game schooled me. They could’ve stopped me from a lot of trouble. It’s ain’t just Tekashi. It could be Youngboy NBA … Whenever I catch one of these young boys I try to school them and let them know.”
Tekashi 6ix9ine is currently being held in a general population prison. Although this situation has some of his fans worried for his safety, the rapper is only worried about his family’s well-being. According to the feds, Tekashi’s unease is valid considering his gang ties. They believe the crew members that were fired from the entertainer’s team want to “super violate” him, an intimidation tactic steeped in revenge that can go as far as murder.
