With the next two to four years of his life already planned out by the Department of Corrections, Meek Mill is settling in to living on the other side and even has a job.
According to TMZ, the MMG rapper is part of the general labor crew, getting his hands on various random projects. A source told the publication that Meek does everything from clean cell blocks & tidy up prison grounds to cook food & wash dishes, he does whatever “general labor” is necessary at the time. He also apparently serves food too, which I’m sure fellow inmates appreciate.
Also, they’re saying he does it all with a smile, apparently, while earning just 19 cents per hour. The rep says he’s a model inmate who gets some juicy perks due to good behavior. Meek gets access to electrical and carpentry shops, and he’s waitlisted for some therapy courses.
Meek Mill’s team are hard at work fighting for the rappers freedom, his lawyers just filed a new bail motion in efforts to continue their appeal, but we’ll have to see what happens. They were just denied bail last week after the judge said Meek was a “danger to the community.”
